Ciao, I’m Livia!
I’m an Italian-American travel writer and digital storyteller documenting culture around the world.
Travel has shaped my life from the start — I grew up across three continents before returning to Italy, my country of birth, in 2010. Since then, I’ve explored il Bel Paese from top to bottom, uncovering its rich traditions, regional nuances and hidden gems. I founded The Italy Edit, a digital magazine celebrating Italian culture and lifestyle, and I contribute regularly to Forbes, writing about luxury travel and cultural heritage. As a certified travel advisor with Fora, I also help travelers experience destinations in a meaningful and immersive way.
Beyond Italy, I spend months each year solo traveling across Asia, following my curiosity for history, art and traditions that connect past and present. For me, travel isn’t just about seeing new places: it’s about deepening our understanding of the world and ourselves.
I’m passionate about responsible tourism and sustainable development, advocating for travel that supports local communities, preserves cultural identity and encourages more thoughtful ways of exploring. You can follow my journey on Instagram.
Outside of travel, I have worked as a communications consultant for the United Nations World Food Programme, focusing on digital engagement and partnerships for global impact. I studied Philosophy and Foreign Affairs at the University of Virginia, a background that continues to shape the way I see the world.
